What curriculum do you follow?
The main thing I focus on is you. I have taught GCSE and A-Level (Edexcel), i GCSE, IB Spanish but also DELF French and Cambridge EAL. As a qualified teacher with 20 years experience, I can adapt to you and your exam (if you have one) and ensure reaching milestones, even if you are learning as a hobby. Languages are meant to facilitate communication, so that’s our goal.
How do you plan lessons?
Lessons are student-centred. Since no student learns in the same way and no lesson is the same, all my lessons are different. My aim is to work on all aspects of the language: speaking, reading, listening and writing either in the lesson or in the homework. I’d normally introduce some vocabulary and grammar structures and practice them throughout the lesson so that you internalise them in a fun way.
How do you measure progress?
As a student, you will be able to see your own progress. You will feel more confident as time goes on, by expanding your vocabulary and the complexity of your sentences. You will be your own referee with my feedback and your observations or we can carry out a formal assessment. I will work with you on your choice.
What tools/materials do you use?
My goal is for you to enjoy the lessons as you are learning. With this in mind, I will keep up to date with your objectives and work with a variety of resources: online flashcards, videos, songs, interactive worksheets, presentations, everything, and anything needed to facilitate your learning.
How can you help students achieve their long-term goals?
It is important to set the goals from the start and set expectations from both parties. Knowing the target, you can work your way through milestones. It can be general or specific. I will support your learning journey (which can be reviewed every few lessons), as well as give and expect feedback. Communication is key to making progress.

What happens when you book a lesson?
You select a date and time that works for you on the tutor’s individual calendars on their profile page. You can do one of the following:
- Book a FREE 20-minute Discovery Call (Chat about your goals & meet your tutor before booking!).
- Book a 30-minute class – price varies per tutor.
- Book a paid 1-hour class – price varies per tutor.
How long are the lessons?
Our lessons are 30 or 60 minutes, but you can book for a longer time if you desire. Or book lessons in bulk for a discounted price once you find a tutor you’re comfortable with. The discounts are on each tutor’s page.
What are you going to learn in each lesson?
The lesson plan is designed according to your needs. Do you need to learn more past or future tense? Help with your pronunciation? Are you looking to become more fluent and confident in your words? All is possible with our tutors, some of whom have been teaching Spanish for over 20 years.
