How do you plan lessons?
I follow the approach mentioned above and I combine the 5 communicative skills (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, speaking interaction, writing) + grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, and topics related to Hispanic culture (Spain and Latin America). They are not all included in every lesson plan. It depends on the student’s needs, interests, level, and progress.
How do you measure progress?
Generally, students can see the progress by themselves but I frequently tell my students the progress they are making in each communicative skill we work on. When I consider the student has reached one MCER level (A1, A2, B1, B2), I propose to take a sample DELE exam so in that way the student can test his/her knowledge and realize how much they have progressed and what are the weak points to improve.
What materials/tools do you use?
Authentic material, images, pictures, videos, podcasts, book recordings, texts from books or websites, website activities/exercises, games and online interactive activities.
How can you help students with their long-term goals?
By using a variety of activities, working on student’s needs and interests, having good lesson plans, and being a friendly and committed tutor, students can be happy and satisfied.

What happens when you book a lesson?
You select a date and time that works for you on the tutor’s individual calendars on their profile page. You can do one of the following:
- Book a FREE 20-minute Discovery Call (Chat about your goals & meet your tutor before booking!).
- Book a 30-minute class – price varies per tutor.
- Book a paid 1-hour class – price varies per tutor.
How long are the lessons?
Our lessons are 30 or 60 minutes, but you can book for a longer time if you desire. Or book lessons in bulk for a discounted price once you find a tutor you’re comfortable with. The discounts are on each tutor’s page.
What are you going to learn in each lesson?
The lesson plan is designed according to your needs. Do you need to learn more past or future tense? Help with your pronunciation? Are you looking to become more fluent and confident in your words? All is possible with our tutors, some of whom have been teaching Spanish for over 20 years.
