What curriculum do you follow?
I tend to have my own developed curriculum that I follow, with emphasis on the areas of Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. Each student will have one specific need for learning the language. For me, it is better to start by reading an article or short story in order to gain vocabulary and grammar patterns. I strongly believe the curriculum I follow can be adapted to the student, I mean each student has a different style of learning, so the curriculum needs to be flexible.
How do you plan lessons?
Now, the use of technology is essential. So, lessons should be prepared according to the students’ needs. Having a road map on how to do a lesson is necessary for me. When I say road map, I mean the steps I need to follow in order to have students engaged in the class.
How do you measure progress?
Progress must be evaluated all the time through quizzes, oral exams, worksheets, etc. Each class has a different purpose, so in each class, that purpose has to be tested and understood. There is a website I use in order to have students learn without realizing it. In that way, I can measure progress in a natural state. Also, exposing them to real situations is a good way to create critical thinking in them.
What materials/tools do you use?
As I said, I use websites and technology in general. But not only that, I like to use things that I have in my house in order to teach vocabulary. So, I adapt my room as a classroom with the objective that students have. I use blackboard, flashcards, pictures, videos, gestures, games, and theater. I like to create videos as well to help my students get a better understanding of the Spanish language.
How can you help students with their long-term goals?
Giving them the necessary tools they need. I consider teachers should be also a kind of psychologist in order to understand the process of learning for each student. So, creating a group will be a charming idea for chasing our goals.

What happens when you book a lesson?
You select a date and time that works for you on the tutor’s individual calendars on their profile page. You can do one of the following:
- Book a FREE 20-minute Discovery Call (Chat about your goals & meet your tutor before booking!).
- Book a 30-minute class – price varies per tutor.
- Book a paid 1-hour class – price varies per tutor.
How long are the lessons?
Our lessons are 30 or 60 minutes, but you can book for a longer time if you desire. Or book lessons in bulk for a discounted price once you find a tutor you’re comfortable with. The discounts are on each tutor’s page.
What are you going to learn in each lesson?
The lesson plan is designed according to your needs. Do you need to learn more past or future tense? Help with your pronunciation? Are you looking to become more fluent and confident in your words? All is possible with our tutors, some of whom have been teaching Spanish for over 20 years.
