Questions about the study tools
Are these Spanish study tools really free?
Yes. The verb practice, verb tables, grammar quizzes, vocabulary flashcards and the printable cheat sheet are free, with no sign-up. Your best scores are saved in your browser.
Which tenses can I practice?
The six tenses you use most, and the ones most Spanish classes test: present, preterite, imperfect, future, conditional and present subjunctive. Practice regular verbs, irregular verbs like ser, ir, tener and hacer, or both together.
Do I have to type accents?
Use the á, é, í, ó, ú and ñ buttons under the answer box. A correct answer with a missing accent still earns half points, because an accent can change the meaning of a word and most teachers take points off for missing ones.
Why does verb practice skip vosotros?
Most learners in the US learn Latin American Spanish, where people use ustedes instead of vosotros. The verb tables and the cheat sheet still show the vosotros forms if you are learning Spanish from Spain.
Who are the study tools for?
Anyone learning Spanish. Adults use them to practice on their own or between lessons, travelers use them to brush up before a trip, and students use them to review for a test, a final or AP Spanish. Parents can use them to quiz their kids at home.
What if I need more help than practice?
Our tutors give private 1-hour lessons online. Adults get a plan built around conversation, travel or work, and students get help with their actual class material, homework and test dates. Every tutor offers a free 15-minute intro call.
