In addition to being a delightful person, Vanessa is head and shoulders above other teachers for a host of reasons.  She’s really easy to talk to and has a genuinely warm way of drawing out the student to get them talking.  This sounds like it should be an obvious thing to do but it really isn’t.  She seems to know when you don’t know have the language to say something versus when you just need a minute to think before speaking.  Again, this is one of those things that should be obvious but it just isn’t. She does a great job figuring out what you know and what you don’t know rather than just teaching random stuff.  Vanessa offers as much structure as you need with a nice balance of grammar and conversation to use the what you learned in a way that feels so natural and comfortable. 

I say all of this because I’ve taken lessons from teachers in several different countries over many years and most can either do very generic canned grammar lessons or random conversation.  I learned more from Vanessa than from all the others combined.

Dahiana has been helping my 2 girls (8 and 10 years old) to learn Spanish. She has a very kind friendly approach that makes them feel comfortable. She makes the class fun for them through the range of different activities that she creates for them. I’m loving my experience! My teacher is extremely enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and helpful. I’m so happy I started classes with her. I can already tell that I’m improving in grammar, sentence structure, and spelling. I would highly recommend for people who want to learn a new language or just want to expand their knowledge.

We feel very fortunate to have found Lingua Linkup for our son, Ethan. He is a senior in high school who was looking for opportunities to go to the next level with speaking Spanish. The immersion experience Lingua Linkup is providing my son has been invaluable. Twice a week he meets with an instructor online.
